What’s The Nest?
In The Nest you can mint Whelp NFTs. Holding an NFT lets you get a daily yield in $Nest, claim it before it expires.
- Free First Hatch: Mint a free untransferable First Hatch NFT at Level 1 with 1 $Nest/day yield and a 60-hour claim window.
- Paid Hatches: Hatch 2 additional Whelps for 10 USDC or 20 USDC.
- Legacy Evolution: Evolve old chickens (held before May 5th 2026 00:00 CET) for 1000 $Nest. They retain their original blockchain level.
- Native Whelps: Further native Whelps can be hatched if your wallet meets specific requirements (TBA).
- Slot Recovery: Paid hatches can be minted again ONLY if you sell the current one in the inner market. External transfers or OpenSea sales do not unlock the slot.
- Goal: Hold your whelps and gain every day.
Daily Yield Rules
Detailed breakdown of production, timeframes, and decay mechanics.
- Production by Level: L1 (1), L2 (10), L3 (25), L4 (75), L5 (250) $Nest per day.
- Claim Windows: Rewards must be collected within: L1 (2.5d), L2 (4.5d), L3 (8.5d), L4 (16.5d), L5 (30.5d).
- Yield Stop: Failing to claim within the window stops production and burns all pending yield. Re-login is required to restart.
- Activity Decay: After 30 days without an upgrade attempt, daily yield drops by 1% every 24 hours.
- Recovery: Any upgrade attempt immediately restores 100% production efficiency.
Whelp Rules & Costs
All rules from the My Nest page regarding your Whelp NFTs.
- L1 → L2: 1,000 NEST (90% Success)
- L2 → L3: 2,500 NEST (60% Success)
- L3 → L4: 10,000 NEST (30% Success)
- L4 → L5: 50,000 NEST (10% Success)
- Fail Safety: If an upgrade fails, the whelp stays at its level, but the transaction counts for activity reset.
- Check the odds yourself: every attempt writes its own success rate on-chain. Measured over all attempts so far, L1→L2 landed at 89.5% against 90% declared and L2→L3 at 60.5% against 60% — see the live odds page.
Four ways in
From free to gated. Prices are what the app charges today.
- First Hatch: free, Level 1, one per wallet. Not transferable and not sellable — it exists so nobody starts at zero.
- Paid Hatch: two more tradable Level 1 whelps, 10 USDC and 20 USDC.
- Legacy Evolution: 1,000 NEST per old chicken held before 5 May 2026. Each chicken converts once.
- Native Mint: 50 USDC, and it is gated on what you already hold — 15,000 NEST in the wallet, 20,000 staked overall, 10,000 locked in the 100-day tier, and 3 whelps at Level 3 or above. The level you get is a verifiable roll from your payment transaction: 85% L1, 9% L2, 4% L3, 1.5% L4, 0.5% L5.
Bonuses on top
- EarlyBird: four tiers, permanent yield and staking bonuses while the NFT stays in the minter's wallet.
- Big NEST Fire: fire sparks add +0.1% yield each, green fire +1% yield and +0.5% staking weight. They stack with EarlyBird.
- Summer Discounts: native mint at 15 USDC instead of 50 while the campaign runs. The price returns to full by itself at the deadline.
Marketplace
Trade Whelps with other players. Anti-abuse rules protect the ecosystem.
- Inventory Rule: You must own at least 3 NEST NFTs to list a Whelp for sale (always required).
- Experience Rule: After your first 3 sales, you must also own at least one Level 3+ Whelp to keep listing.
- Listing Durations: 12 Hours, 1 Day, 1 Week, or 6 Months. Default is 12 Hours.
- Trading Fees: 3% Protocol Fee + 3% Creator Royalty (paid to original minter) per sale.
- Currencies: USDC and NEST token accepted.
- Slot Unlock: Inner market sales are the ONLY way to unlock paid mint slots for re-use. External transfers or OpenSea sales do not count.
Staking Rules & Rewards
Lock your NEST to earn a share of the weekly protocol rewards and emissions.
- Tiered Rewards: Rewards are split into 5 buckets (Tiers). The longer you lock, the bigger the share of the prize pool you access.
- The Tiers & Unlock Times:
- Tier 0 (Flexible): 0 Days (Immediate) - 4% of pool.
- Tier 1: 10 Days - 8% of pool.
- Tier 2: 25 Days - 13% of pool.
- Tier 3: 50 Days - 25% of pool.
- Tier 4: 100 Days - 50% of pool.
- Weekly Prize Pool: The staking epoch distributes a fixed 50,000 NEST reward pool to active stakers.
- Early Exit Penalty: You can unstake anytime, but if you exit before the lock expires, you pay a penalty.
- Linear Decay: The penalty decreases linearly every second as you approach the unlock date.
- Calculation:
Penalty = Capital * (Time Remaining / Total Lock Duration). - Example: If you lock for 100 days and exit at day 50, you pay 50% penalty. If you exit at day 90, you pay 10%.
- Destination: All penalties stay in the prize pool to be distributed to other stakers.
- Claim Window: Rewards must be claimed manually during the weekly 3-day claim window. The Staking page and Home dashboard show the live opening and closing time read from the staking contract.
- NFT Boost: Holding Early Bird or Promotional NFTs adds a bonus (up to +20%) to your staking weight, increasing your share of the rewards.

Whelp Skins
Skins are collectible NFTs that change a Whelp’s appearance. A Skin must match the Whelp’s level and stays safely in the Skin Vault while equipped.
Rarity vs. grade: a Skin’s gem color shows its visual rarity — it does not tell you the bonus. The grade (shown as G0, G1, G2 or G3 on the tile) is a separate, purely economic tier: G0 is always cosmetic-only, G1–G3 carry a real bonus and are sold in different lanes (below). Two Skins with the same gem color can have completely different bonuses and grades.
Bonus: a G1–G3 Skin is assigned one random bonus at mint, shown in plain language on its tile — extra daily yield, a better upgrade chance, a cheaper upgrade, a raffle ticket, staking weight, or flat NEST/day. A percentage yield bonus applies to the equipped Whelp’s own base daily yield (by its level), not to your wallet’s total yield — so it stays the same NEST/day no matter what other bonuses are stacked on top. An upgrade chance or upgrade cost bonus only applies to the Whelp actually wearing that Skin, not every Whelp you own — equip a different Skin to move it. It’s locked in permanently the moment it’s minted; a later change to the bonus pool never touches Skins already minted. Equipping every required piece of the same set at the same grade also earns a separate, flat NEST/day set bonus on top of each piece’s own bonus.
Buy or gift: choose yourself or another wallet as the recipient at checkout. A normal direct transfer does not erase the Skin’s identity or assigned bonus terms.
Trade: a Skin’s grade decides how it’s sold, automatically — nobody picks this. G1 is a fixed NEST price. G3 is a fixed USDC price. Both list in the Skin Market like any other purchase: check the price, level, rarity and bonus before confirming.
Auctions (G2): G2 Skins sell through an auction instead of a fixed price. It sits still at its starting bid until someone bids — the first bid starts a fixed countdown, and every later bid must beat the last by the posted minimum. Outbid? Your NEST comes back automatically in the same transaction as the next bid — nothing to withdraw by hand. Once the timer ends, anyone can settle the auction, not just the winner; settling pays the highest bidder and closes it.
Equip: open your Skin Gallery, select an unused Skin and apply it to an owned Whelp of the same level. Removing it returns the Skin to the current Whelp owner. A successful Whelp upgrade automatically removes an incompatible Skin first.
Terms and future changes: pools, future release rules and availability may change for future mints. A Skin already minted keeps its on-chain set, level, rarity, grade and assigned bonus terms. G0 and the Free test set are cosmetic-only unless their on-chain metadata expressly says otherwise.
